ABOUT THE TOUR:

This is a 2.5 hour walking tour through the obscure stories, strange legends and powerful myths that filled the soul of the Gothic quarter.

The souls of the condemned, the witches with their storm spells, dinners with the dead, the Inquisition executions… The location of the doors to hell, curiosities about houses that change their location, enigmatic inscriptions, the Demon that is always conspiring…

These are some of the stories that await for you in the heart of the Old City. What we call today the Gothic district was the nucleus of today’s Barcelona. The Roman Barcelona was founded by the great Emperor August about 12 BC. The city has lived, from that moment, two thousand years of curious events which are depicted in its stories and legends.

OUR GREAT GUIDE

I confess that tours often bore me...HOWEVER...We first met Juan in 2009 and everyone was so super impressed by his knowledge, delivery, anecdotes and personality that he has been "our" guide for all of our other tours (see reviews for Juan).

Our guide once more will be Juan Pardo Eimil. He holds M. A. in tourism and in liberal arts and as an official guide of the city of Barcelona has exceptional experience in cultural and creative tourism.

Language:

We decide by majority the language of the tour.  It can be English only or Spanish & English (ie: the first stopping point in English, the next stopping point in Spanish and so on).  It all depends on who signs up and what your preference.

PRICE: 

15€ With deposit: 15€.  Pay 5€ deposit at one of our intercambios or via bank transfer and then pay 10€ on the day.  Alternatively....

19€ Without RSVP: 19€ on the day (ie: simply "showing up at the start of the tour)

DEPOSIT: 5euro to RSVP your space, to be paid in cash at one of our intercambios or via our La Caixa Account.  (ie: you pay 10€ on the day)

Numbers Minimum 10 - Maximum 20 people

PRE-TOUR COFFEE at 11am: I am am happily addicted to coffee and will need coffee before the walk.  If anyone feels the same, please join me just 1 metro from the meeting point in the tapas bar / cafe across...I have to look at the name...can't remember it now!

LUNCH??? We will probably go  for lunch / tapas or drinks after the tour
